Born in Dayton, Ohio and grew up living on the mission field. Around the time I turned 5 my family settled down where I consider to be my hometown, Des Moines, Iowa. Professionally, I have been in restaurant work and management for over 15 years, as well as a couple years of sales. I enjoy playing and writing music, spending time outdoors, meeting new people, and spending time with friends and family.

I am elated to invite you to see where my life is headed the next couple years. My life drastically changed last year. After 17 years walking away from the Lord I had experientially learned many lessons, most of them the hard way. I was legitimately at the lowest point in my entire life, which says a lot considering I had experienced the loss of a child back in 2019. I did have an accomplished work career and the potential to take life wherever I wanted to go.

However, something was missing; I was so hungry to find deeper purpose, impact, and growth. I was struggling, depressed, unhealthy, scared, and honestly questioning my sanity. I had an encounter that changed my life. God met me in a dark place when I was in need of desperate healing. He met me where I was, allowing me to experience Him more clearly than I have ever felt or heard anything in life. I experienced a dramatic process of healing and deliverance, changing my life forever. Excited to pursue this newfound relationship with the Father, I eagerly began journaling and asking important questions. One of the instructions I received was to pursue Discipleship Training. I decided to pause my growing career, passing up promotion opportunities, to take the necessary time to become a disciple. I will be attending The Building Hope Discipleship Training School in 2022 with YWAM located in Tijuana, Mexico. In addition to this decision, I parted with almost all of my possessions and belongings.

In obedience and faith, I have applied and been accepted to join The World Race Gap Year for January 2023, a few months after my time with YWAM. What an amazing opportunity and huge blessing! My goals to serve through TWR are to grow my knowledge and relationship with the Lord, learn new languages and cultures, serve in communities dedicated to growth and service, and experience God’s actions around the world. My intention is to listen to God’s will and to follow His path anywhere it takes me.
